2 weeks ago, the week right after my vacation, I was dreading going back to work. It had the makings of being a very long week. I'm sure a lot of you can relate, but the Monday back after vacation is always hectic. Coupled with the fact that Ben was having a long night on Tuesday, and then my boss was going to be in town on Wednesday and Thursday it appeared there was no end in sight!!
Thankfully the week went a little better than planned, but by Thursday night I was exhausted. Ben called and was a hero and suggested we take Carac to Gattitown (similar to Chuck E. Cheese) for dinner and some quality time with the two of us.

It was quite depressing, but we had to spend 20 minutes convincing Carac that he could have fun with just the two of us. That we really didn't have to call his friends to see if they wanted to come. Once Carac believed us (or was scared of spending some time in the car by himself) he decided to get out and come inside. They had Toy Story on the big screen, and Carac was hooked. He ate 7 or 8 pieces of pizza, minus the crust, and was then ready to play!

We limited our play money to $10, but we had a blast. We bowled, rode in a race car (this was for Grandpa Alex), went on the carousel, watched Daddy throw some footballs (and beat the high score) and my personal favorite, we rode the frog hopper.
We ended the night by crossing the parking lot to Toys R Us to start putting together Carac's Christmas list. Boy is it extensive and expensive. Hope Santa has been saving his pennies, there is a lot of truth to the older they get the more expensive the toys get!!!
