Avery Comes to Visit!!

Avery and Grandma Rosie came to vist and they brought with them a special treat. They had picked up a copy of "Where the Wild Things Are" and managed to bring some crowns that would allow for the rumpus to begin. Grandma made the initial reading of the story, and upon completion Carac declared that it was a "Great Story." He and Avery then proceeded to dance around the room and create as much noise as possible. Carac loved being the King and I enjoyed when the monsters roared and showed their claws.

After we were done with the book Avery and Carac both wanted to take turn taking pictures. The following are the results of handing the camera over to a 3 and 4 year old. I'm quite amazed at how they did.

After they took some pictures we headed to the pumpkin patch. We spent quite a bit of time there and everyone was starving when we got back. Avery and Carac were pretty much inseparable the entire weekend, and even had to each lunch together at Carac's table in the living room.

Thankfully after lunch the two of them got tired enough that they laid down for a long and quiet nap. Who the heck am I kidding!?!?!? You can tell from Avery's face that this never would have worked. They bounced around all afternoon and had so much fun. They were just "practicing" nap time in this picture. Overall it was a great time and we were so glad to have our family come and visit! They are more than welcome to come back anytime!!!!!
