Back to school and Back to work!

This was Carac's first full week of school, and the first week for Ben to be back to work. Even though I don't have summers off, sometimes I feel the adjustment is just as hard for me. But we are definitely working through it. The early part of the week was hectic for me as my boss was in town and we were going to visit some of my larger customers. Wednesday was the first morning that both Ben and I were at the house to help get Carac ready for school, and a melt-down ensued. Apparently Carac has developed an aversion to baths. So Wednesday he started crying that he didn't want to go to school. When asked why, his response was that he didn't want to have to take baths after playing on the playground and getting dirty. So that morning I told him he could go to school and if he didn't want to get dirty he didn't have to choose to play on the playground. Thursday arrived with the same problem and we just got him dressed through the tears. Ben dropped him off and said he was fine by the time they got to school. Friday morning was the worst. He cried for about 10 minutes. I finally told him that the bath was to get the germs off and not just a result of the dirt from the playground. It managed to get him to school on Friday, but we'll see what happens on Monday. Ben's first week went well. He was a little afraid because it appeared that on Wednesday he was losing his voice from teaching and football. However, he did manage to find it and things were back to normal by Thursday afternoon. He hasn't said much about classes, but as I mentioned it's been a hectic week. We normally "catch up" on the weekends, so more later!
