So we've spent the past week getting settled, and it's quite a chore. I have what appears to be a never ending sea of boxes in my garage, and an old house that can't seem to get to clean on its own. So I guess this next week I have to prioritize, and the old house is going to win. We have to get it clean so we can paint one or two rooms and then get it listed.
This week it has been fun watching Carac enjoy the new house. My plan for getting him to sleep on his own hasn't worked that well, but we're still trying. Instead we have started a routine of him making his bed in the morning before he comes downstairs for breakfast. Carac has adapted to the idea well, and still needs a little help with the far corner. Proof that he has adjusted well, the othe morning at 2 am he comes in and says "Mommy, I need you to come sleep with me." I comply, and get up and start walking down the hall to his room. Carac ever so sweetly grabs my hand and says "Don't worry mommy, I straightened my bed before I woke you up." Sure enough, I walk into his room at 2 am and there is his newly made bed. It was adorable! (Still wish he wasn't waking us up at night, but that time it was too cute to get frustrated!)
Once we get more things put in their place I'll post some more pictures, but for now it's off to unpack some more boxes!
